During Week 2, we will focus on the following:
Technical skills: Creating objects, adding sound and script to objects; animesh
and
Methodology: Transmedia Storytelling
Moderator: Helena Galani
This week, we will be visiting the simulation "Wilde & Transmedia storytelling for 21st century Competencies" inspired by Oscar Wilde's books, to explore how Kitely can support Transmedia storytelling for language acquisition and 21st century Competencies.
To visit the simulation on ELT Treasure Island (General), become a member of our group "ELT Learner Factor", a little nook I have made for my (young) learners of ELT/EAP.
Then click number 17 on the Teleporter Gate (Wilde's Victorian School) or 16 (to The Happy Prince simulation) to get to the opening scene of the simulation.

Creating animesh; adding script; adding media on a prim
Transmedia & Dogme: a discussion at Dennis' garden on how you can implement the approach into your classes
Show your interactive objects on the sandbox; rezzing objects, selecting objects.

Frost visiting the Selfish Giant's castle and garden on the 'Wilde & Transmedia storytelling for 21st century Competencies' simulation.
With sound and script you can change the atmosphere for the simulation to be more realistic! Change the Environment settings to Midnight to better see the lightning and stars and to hear the claps of thunder in the winter sky. (Suggested Windlight settings: Claira, Crucible)
Spring at the Selfish Giant's garden on the 'Wilde & Transmedia storytelling for Competencies' simulation.
View of "The Town" with Torley's windlights 'MIDDAY: Why so blue'!
On the simulation 'Wilde & Transmedia storytelling for 21st century Competencies', on ELT Treasure Island; with windlights 'Shadows bright day'
A simple mesh tower, adding sounds and animating prims can create atmosphere and effectively support the genre you teach.
Come, have sophisticated conversations with our chatty snowman, the chatbot, and find out what the roles of a running dress and an animesh Hippo are in this story outside the Giant's garden.
