Euroversity is a pan-European Associaton of professionals devoted to education through 2D and 3D virtual environments.

The Euroversity Association continues with the outcomes of the Euroversity project 2011 - 2014) Euroversity Website. The project outcomes are collected in a WIKI. There are a range of different resources that reflect the life cycle of the Euroversity project. There are short descriptions and links to further resources, including a number of case studies as well as some practical support as regards to working in Virtual Worlds. Everyone is most welcome to explore the WIKI and add to it.

One of the association goals is to help practioners within the association to develop a better understanding of the complex teaching and learning landscape in  2D/3D virtual settings. Through collaboration, experienced educators and practioners will help the novice to understand virtual settings and approaches, by utilizing resources to overcome challenges.

The association aims to inspire by creating learning spaces where learners become actively engaged by interacting in an immersive environment while developing new skills. For more information visit the Euroversity Association's website: https://www.euroversityassociation.eu/home/our-aims/

EUROVERSITY wants to:

  • provide an European and global perspective for universities by offering a shared space for shared learning and research activities,
  • promote the conducting of joint courses among network partners and sharing of ressources,
  • It wants to become a truly European university rooted not in one location but in many

We are doing this by using virtual world as a place to meet and collaborate. A virtual world is an online community that often takes the form of a computer-based simulated environment through which users can interact with one another and use and create objects. The term has become largely synonymous with interactive 3D virtual environments, where the users take the form of avatars visible to others. These avatars usually appear as textual, two-dimensional, or three-dimensional representations, although other forms are possible (auditory and touch sensations for example).
